Le Staedel Museum de Francfort organise jusqu’au 17 Août une exposition sur la nature morte (1500-1800) qui entend en retracer l’évolution de sa naissance au tout début du XVIe siècle au XIXe.
Du 5 septembre 2008 au 4 janvier 2009, l’exposition se déplace au Kunstmuseum de Bâle.

Les rêves mécaniques de Léonard de Vinci.

Le site consacré à l’exposition permet d’en savoir davantage sur les œuvres exposées (une quarantaine de maquettes de machines réalisées par des artisans florentins d’après les croquis de Léonard) et d’obtenir l’ensemble des détails pratiques. -

La fondation couvre la période 1400-1600 et rassemble des œuvres de Van Eyck, Lotto, Ghirlandaio ou Piero della Francesca. L’exposition se tient jusqu’au 7 janvier 2008 et présente des pièces de la Renaissance, époque où la miniature connaît son premier essor, au XIXe siècle, sous la houlette de Nicole Garnier, Nathalie Lemoine-Bouchard et Bernard Pappe.
